1968 PLYMOUTH BARRACUDA CONVERTIBLE FORMULA S CLONE
|
| |
 |
|
| |
You are looking at an almost new 1968
Plymouth Barracuda Formula S (clone) convertible! The fully
functional odometer on this Cuda musclecar shows only 4,410 miles as
of the moment of this listing. This is significant, because this car
was treated to a rotisserie restoration (we have the receipts)
before the odometer was reset to zero! EVERY system on this car was
addressed. There is no mechanical component on this car with more
than 4,410 miles! Many parts, including the engine and differential,
have far less! Yes, you are seeing correctly; the car sports a
beautiful FC7 Plum Crazy/In Violet paint job. No, that is neither
correct for this car (it was red originally), nor could you even get
Plum Crazy in 1968! But it sure looks good on this awesome
convertible!
We bought this car in April of
2002. The body, suspension, interior and powertrain had already been
done. We were not satisfied with the engine, and it did not look
period correct. So we pulled it and had it done to our specs (email
for details). Similarly, the 8 3/4 rear had 3.23 open gears. A bunch
of work had to be done in the interior too, particularly on the dash
and console. And there were the jillion little details, too.
This
Barracuda was professionally rotisserie restored (we have the
receipts) from 2 1968 Barracuda convertibles (and a bunch of new
sheet metal, including both quarters, one fender, floors, and trunk
extensions). One was a 318 car; the other a Formula S. The 318 car
was more intact, so it formed the basis for the finished product.
Nothing was left untouched. Everything was re-done, including all
the brakes, front end, steering, suspension, interior, top, top
hydraulics, trunk, paint and body, etc. (We rarely put it up, but
the top is in excellent shape). Mechanically this car has the effect
of being essentially a new 37-year old Barracuda. And when was the
last time you saw one of these? (You've NEVER seen one in Plum
Crazy!) Sure, there are a number of hardtops and coupes, but very
few convertibles! Be a one-person parade everywhere you go! We have
full gauges, and the speedometer has been calibrated to the rear end
and tires. This car has taken a first or second place in its class
at every judged show it has entered, including the Southern Mopar
Mini-Nationals. Many consider this the best looking of the A-body
Mopars. We agree!
OLD CARS PRICE GUIDE says this fully restored car is worth
$30,000. We will consider all reasonable offers. |

1999 VOLVO S70 GLT TURBO
|
|
| |
 |
|

New timing belt service! New tires! Sunroof! CD! This excellent Volvo S70 GLT Turbo has the automatic transmission, tan leather interior, heated memory seats, alloy wheels. The Texas emissions inspection is good until July 31, 2006. Registration is paid through March 31, 2006. This is important: At our urging the owner just had an expensive timing belt service performed, including a new tensioner, idler pulley, water pump, and coolant flush. If you are looking at other Volvos, and in particular the turbo versions, if the mileage is close to 90K or more BE SURE the timing belt has been replaced. If an old timing belt breaks, it will bend all of the valves in the engine! Also, be sure to check inside the oil filler cap for sludge. Turbo engines are harder on oil than non-turbos. The top of the inside of the engine should be free of glop. Ours is great! This car has cold air conditioning, and everything works. Tires are brand new! A great starter car for a teen, or family car!Only $6,995 for a low mileage (103k) Volvo sedan that needs nothing!
