"The muscle cars are definitely having their moment in the spotlight," said
Tim McGrane, director of marketing for the auto auction company, Barret-Jackson, in late 2003.

It’s been more than a
decade and a half since the collector car market exploded in 1989, with prices
going through the roof in the span of months, not years.
While it is unlikely we will see such an extreme frenzy in
such a short period of time again, prices are on the
move, and significantly. A bear market in stocks always drives up collector car
prices, and now, in the winter of 2004-2005, following 3 years of
a bear market, collector cars, particularly the American
muscle car, are once again rising quickly in value. In fact, 2004 saw a record price paid for an American muscle car: $2 million for a 1971 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda convertible!
At
personalvehicleshopper.com, and for many years before we
started this business in 1996, we have helped others locate,
evaluate and acquire collectible motor vehicles. We are
available to assist you with your collector car acquisition
on a local, regional, national or international basis. We
will handle the entire process, with as little or as much
involvement by you as you deem appropriate. In addition to
our dealer sources nationwide and in Europe, and private
party offerings, we will attend major auctions (such as
Barrett-Jackson, Monterey, Auburn, Meadowbrook, and others)
on your behalf.
